About
Welcome to Apartment 8A. Pull up a seat and let’s get acquainted. My name is Terri Ramsey Beavers, and I live in a small town in Georgia that hosts a population of 3,703. I live in the heart of the farming country and if you’ve ever been behind a slow tractor that never gets in a hurry, you’ve been in my town. What would take a normal 2 minutes to go thru our town in whichever direction you’re going, takes a good hour if you get behind said tractors. People are friendly and laid back here, we wave at everyone.
Most people know me online from Shabby Chic Boho. I wanted a site that was completely different and more focused on my daily life living with a disability, which is how Apartment 8A was created. It’s my way of sharing my life with my parents, siblings, kids, and grandkids as well as anyone else who stumbles up it and cares to follow along.
I recently moved into a handicapped apartment which has been a blessing. It’s more spacious than my previous apartments and I’m hoping to settle down here and live out the rest of my life surrounded by my loving dog, 2 cats, 2 parakeets, 2 lovebirds, and my fish. My apartment came with some quirks which I hope to one day address and correct but for now, it is what it is. I’m in a great location here, it’s quiet, there’s plenty of wildlife in the woods behind my apartment; bobcats, foxes, possums, armadillos, deer and every kind of bird imaginable. I never know what I’m going to see when I head outdoors. On the flip side, I’m with walking distance of most stores and restaurants.
I love to cook, it’s just about the only thing that helps me get my pain level down. When I get in the kitchen and bake, it has a calming effect on me. My kitchen is a galley kitchen and small, but it gets the job done and as long as I have a counter to work on and a stove to bake with, I’m a happy camper. I also love rearranging the furniture a dozen times a month. I don’t know why I do this because I always end up rearranging it back to the original starting point. I guess it just gives me something to do. I also love to take photos but I haven’t mastered making good videos yet. I’m trying and learning as I go.
I’d love to know who visits my site and if you do and you have a second to comment, please leave your URL so I can return the favor. I love meeting other bloggers and following their websites. Thanks for your visit.
