Coronavirus Test Results COVID-19

COZY APARTMENT LIVING

I’ve never spent so much time in apartment 8a than I have since I first heard about the coronavirus.  I’m normally a homebody but I’ve been extreme in that area for months now.  I became so paranoid that I hadn’t planned to ever leave my apartment,  but of course, life does go on amid a pandemic and I have to shop like everyone else.

CORONAVIRUS FEAR

I became aware of how widespread the virus was after I went to a back appointment at the hospital.  After my visit, I got so sick in a way I never have before.  I assumed I had the flu because my next-door neighbors had it but it continued on for months.  And yes, in case you’re wondering, I did have a flu shot.

TESTING SITE FOR CORONAVIRUS

It was a nightmare trying to find where I could even be tested for the coronavirus.  I didn’t want to go to the doctor’s office and I especially didn’t want to go near a hospital again.  In the end, I decided to just watch my symptoms, and eventually, I did start to feel better.

For about 2 weeks.

Then, I was sick again.  This time, I had shortness of breath, dizziness, cough, fever, and just absolute fatigue that took over my entire body.

I saw a post on Facebook from our local health department that they were testing and I made up my mind to go and be tested.   I had heard that the test was awful but it really wasn’t.  They did stick the swabs as far back into my nostrils, both of them, as they would go.  They swirled them a few seconds and it was over. It didn’t make me gag or anything.  I experienced a little bit of nasal burning afterward but it was so slight, I really wasn’t sure I was feeling it.

CORONAVIRUS TEST RESULTS

I waited patiently for my test results which I’m happy to say were negative.  I’m a sucker for happy endings.  I continue to experience some symptoms but I’m mostly well these days.  I’ve not gone to the doctor’s office and don’t plan to unless it’s an emergency.  I’m continuing to practice safety measures and I’ve become a whiz at making cloth masks.  More on that later.
