Fat Cat Weight Loss Starts Today
To say that Chelsea needs to lose weight is an understatement. Chelsea has been overweight for some time now and I know it can’t be good for her health so it’s time to take drastic measures. It’s hard to imagine her as a tiny kitten that someone was giving away in the Walmart parking lot. She was so small in fact, that I put her in my pocketbook on the ride home.
I think the turning point for Chelsea was when she was neutered. After that, she started putting on weight rapidly and the more she ate, the more she wanted to eat.
Chelsea loves to eat and she loves her snacks more than anything. If I walk thru the kitchen without giving her one, she attacks me. I’m not even joking about that. I started buying treats to reward her good behavior but that backfired on me and made her behavior worse. Well, no more. I’m putting my foot down before her weight becomes a health problem. I threw all of her snacks out over the fence in my backyard to feed the wild animals and today we start a diet for her.
I found a diet plan online that I’m planning to use called “Three Ways to Help a Cat Lose Weight.” I like how everything is set out and easy to follow along. I hope to have long-lasting results so she’ll live a long life.
If anyone has any diet suggestions, please let me know. I know this is going to be hard on my legs (the scars I bear from her wrath), but I’m the mama and I know what is best for her.
I believe that once she starts losing weight, she’ll want to become more active. I’ve ordered some toys that are aimed at her exercise but I’m not certain she’ll have the slightest interest in them. She doesn’t her other toys.
