Merry Christmas 2019
Happy Birthday Jesus.
Time sure does fly by these days. I swear it feels like I was just taking down Christmas decorations from last year and now I’ve got to take them down again. I hope my family and friends had a joyous Christmas and everyone remembers that Jesus is the reason for the Season. I can just imagine all of the little ones rushing to the Christmas tree to see what Santa brought. Enjoy your babies while you can, they grow up way too fast. It doesn’t even feel like Christmas with the kids grown and celebrating the holidays with their families, however, my pocketbook is telling me it is in fact Christmas. In all honesty, I didn’t break the bank this year. I enjoyed making gift baskets for all of the families and I’m going to start making a tradition out of that. I’ll start in January and by December, I will have baskets of everyone’s favorite things. Buying all along doesn’t make me stretch the last few months of the year into nothingness.
Today, I’m not cooking. We have planned out Christmas dinner for a later date (which we may have to cancel, it’s at Tiffany’s this year and I think something came up). I’m snacking and really just being lazy. I stayed up ALL NIGHT last night watching Alone Seasons 1 and 2 on Amazon. By mid afternoon I”ll be ready for my old lady nap, but for now, I’m cleaning up after all of my critters, listening to Christmas music and slurping down some coffee. I love relaxing days like this any day of the year. I don’t plan to work on any blog posts or reviews today. I’m just going to give thanks all day that God sent his son to die for my sins so I can have everlasting life. To me, that’s what Christmas is all about. Not the gifts, not the decorations, not the Christmas trees.
